Man City are pushing their defender for a transfer to Al Hilal
Manchester City’s head coach Pep Guardiola does not have plans for full-back João Cancelo, and it is highly likely that he will leave the club this summer.
According to Sports Zone, the reigning Saudi Pro League champions, Al-Hilal, are the frontrunners in the race to sign the Portuguese player. While Cancelo is not particularly keen on moving to Asia, Manchester City is pushing him towards this option, as he is unlikely to get playing time this season.
Al-Hilal has reportedly offered Cancelo a three-year contract, which would see him earn €16 million per season.
Last season, Cancelo was on loan at Barcelona, where he played 42 matches, scored 4 goals, and provided 5 assists.
Al-Hilal has already claimed the Saudi Super Cup this season, defeating Al-Nassr 4-1 in the final.
