Mamelodi Sundows earn a draw in DRC as Jayden Adams scores an equaliser against ST Eloi Lupopo to put their knockout chances in huge doubt

Jayden Adams salvaged Mamelodi Sundowns’ blushes when he scored the equalising goal in their Caf Champions League match against ST Eloi Lupopo.

This 1-1 draw result in DRC has left Sundowns in a precarious position as they are third in Group C of the Caf Champions League with their qualification to the knockout stages now is doubt.

They face former coach Rulani Mokwena next week in their last group game at home, where they need to win at all cost.

Miguel Cardoso’s troops are third in group C with six points, two points behind table toppers Al Hilal while Mokwena’s MC Alger have seven.

Enock Moila scored for the home side at Stade de TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi beating Grant Kekana before slotting the ball past Ronwen Williams.

The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper was restored to the starting line-up alongside Teboho Mokoena, Arthur Sales and Thapelo Morena.

The result has made the game against Algerian giants to be a potential humdinger next weekend.
