Mamelodi Sundowns set conditions for Zwane's contract extension

The veteran midfielder of Mamelodi Sundowns, Themba Zwane, will celebrate his 36th birthday in August. And it seems he might spend it at a different club.

Details: The contract of the 35-year-old playmaker is set to expire this summer, and it is reported that Sundowns have paused negotiations for a new deal with Zwane, as the club has doubts about his future with the team.

It is believed that the club wants to ensure the midfielder is in good enough shape to perform at the highest level. This cautious approach marks a significant change from previous years when extending Zwane's contract was a mere formality.

Reminder: At the end of March, the veteran returned to the field after a long absence due to injury.
