Mamelodi Sundowns extends goalkeeper Riyaad Pieterse's contract at the club
Reyaad Pieterse has been handed a new season long deal by Mamelodi Sundowns.
The former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper only played a single match for Sundowns last season and there's talk that the goalkeeper he had option to leave the team or go on loan.
But he opted to stay for another campaign which in fairness will be on the sidelines given the fact that Pieterse is the fourth choice goalkeeper at the club.
The arrival of Ricardo Goss from his loan spell at Siwelele FC also spells doom for Pieterse who is in his eight years at Sundowns never managed to make more than 10 matches in a single season.
Sundowns have Ronwen Williams, Jody February, Ricardo Goss and Denis Onyango in their pecking order and Pieterse faces a mountain to climb in terms of game time.
But nevertheless he opted to stay at the club, which as it all seems, may be his last at Chloorkop.
