Mamelodi Sundowns’ earnings at the Club World Cup revealed

Mamelodi Sundowns secured a draw in their final group-stage match of the Club World Cup and will advance to the tournament’s playoff stage. However, even after just three matches, the club has already pocketed a solid payday.
Details: According to FIFA, the team representing Africa at the tournament receives approximately $9.5–9.7 million simply for participating. In addition, performance bonuses are awarded based on points earned. Mamelodi Sundowns registered one win and one draw. That’s an extra $2 million for the victory and $1 million for the draw.
In total, after three Club World Cup matches, Mamelodi Sundowns have earned an estimated $12.5–12.7 million.
As previously reported, after three rounds of the group stage, Mamelodi Sundowns have collected four points, Fluminense five, and Borussia Dortmund seven.
