Mamelodi Sundowns coach dissatisfied with number of African teams at Club World Cup
Africa, alongside North America and Asia, has only four representatives at the Club World Cup—a figure that, according to South Africa's sole entrant in the tournament, is not enough.
Details: Mamelodi Sundowns' goalkeeper coach Kennedy Mweene stated that while four African teams are not sufficient, they will still have the opportunity to prove themselves on the global stage.

Quote: "Despite having several young players in our squad, it’s important that we go there not just to participate, but to truly compete. The team is developing rapidly. Four African teams in the tournament—it’s a chance for us, although we are still not satisfied with how few there are.
Nevertheless, we have to step onto the pitch and show what we’re made of. We know it won’t be easy. This is a high-level tournament, and everyone understands why we are there. Yes, it will be tough, but we are obliged to showcase our talent—both for South Africa and for the entire continent," Mweene told KickOff.
