Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili may not officially join Liverpool until next season, but he's already making waves, challenging some of the club’s biggest names, including current goalkeeper Alisson.
Details: During a camp of the Georgian national team, the 24-year-old expressed his intent to compete for a spot in Liverpool’s starting lineup, even if it means taking on Alisson, the team’s current first-choice keeper.
Quote: “The Liverpool project appealed to me when club representatives met with me to finalize the deal. I’m ready to fight for the starting position, even if the current keeper stays,” Mamardashvili told Georgia’s First Channel.
Reminder: Alisson’s health has recently raised concerns, with the Brazilian goalkeeper missing several matches and set to return only after the November international break.
