The well-known midfielder is now facing serious legal trouble.
Details: According to The Sun, 31-year-old Feyenoord right winger Raheem Sterling was arrested yesterday morning after crashing his Lamborghini into the highway barrier.
Police who arrived at the scene suspected Sterling was under the influence of drugs due to his erratic behavior, which showed clear signs of intoxication. When officers asked Sterling to take a drug test, the footballer flatly refused.
Although Sterling is suspected of using Class C drugs—which include banned tranquilizers—he was released on bail pending the completion of the investigation.
Sterling joined Feyenoord as a free agent from Chelsea in February this year, but has failed to revive his career, making only eight appearances for the Dutch giants.
