Sterling is still hoping to revive his career.
Details: The head coach of Dutch side Feyenoord, the legendary Robin van Persie, delivered a sharp response to critics who have ridiculed 31-year-old English midfielder Raheem Sterling, who has struggled to secure a regular spot in the squad.

According to van Persie, Sterling clearly does not deserve such treatment:
"I am concerned about the cynical attitude people have toward Raheem Sterling. Show some respect! I don't like the way people have been treating him lately! Know your place!
This man has scored around 200 goals in England and played 82 matches for the national team. If you have an opinion about his current performances, fine... but the way he is being treated now is UNACCEPTABLE.
Tonight, I will have dinner with him and reflect together." van Persie said.
Raheem Sterling joined Feyenoord in February this year as a free agent after his contract with Chelsea ended. Raheem has played just 8 matches for Feyenoord, providing 1 assist. His contract with the club expires at the end of the season, and his market value is estimated at 5 million euros by Transfermarkt.
