Major shake-up. Sunrisers Hyderabad plans sweeping overhaul for IPL 2027 season
The camp of one of the Indian Premier League's most ambitious clubs is gearing up for a massive personnel shake-up.
Details: According to Cricket Central, Sunrisers Hyderabad management has already drafted a strategic blueprint for a sweeping franchise overhaul ahead of the IPL 2027 season. The club's bosses are determined to seriously revamp the team's structure, changing the leadership vector and completely rebuilding their defensive lines.
The biggest bombshell of the upcoming off-season promises to be a captaincy change. Current skipper Pat Cummins appears to have made the decision to skip the next IPL campaign entirely, in order to manage his workload and arrive in peak condition for the all-important 2027 ODI Cricket World Cup with Australia.
The vacant Hyderabad captaincy is highly likely to go to star Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, around whom management plans to build a revamped project.
Recall: 15-year-old Suryavanshi could make his debut for the Indian national team.
