The issue is that members of the Canadian team were bending the rules and deceiving the referees by cheating during their throws. The Canadians twice touched the stone in a blind spot where the cameras do not operate. Sensing that something was amiss, the Swedish team set up a hidden camera in the blind spot, which ended up capturing the Canadians' violation.
Canadian curler Mark Kennedy was offended by the accusations from the Swedish team and told Swedish player Oskar Eriksson to get lost in no uncertain terms.
Kennedy refused to admit his guilt, claiming he played fair, but he had no idea that the Swedish team had video evidence of his misconduct.
Previously, Mark Kennedy had already been accused of similar rule violations, but no one had any proof.
