Major scandal before the ceremony! Lamine Yamal's father gets into a fight before flying to London
Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal's father, Mounir Nasraoui, found himself at the center of a major scandal just before flying to the prestigious Ballon d'Or ceremony.
Details: According to Spanish outlet Crónica Global, the altercation erupted at a venue after staff reprimanded the man for leaving his jacket in a prohibited area. Nasraoui responded extremely aggressively to the request: eyewitnesses claim that he spat in a waitress's face before punching a customer who had tried to defend her.
The situation nearly escalated into a full-scale brawl when the footballer's enraged father threatened to throw a chair at his opponent. Police were urgently called to the scene, but even the confrontation with law enforcement did not prevent Nasraoui from boarding the plane and travelling to the British capital for the gala evening.
It is worth noting that at the ceremony held in London, 19-year-old Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal won the prestigious Kopa Trophy for the world's best young footballer for the second year in a row, while also finishing in the top three of the main Ballon d'Or voting.
Reminder: Scandal! Yamal's uncle loses it after the Ballon d'Or verdict
