Nick Kyrgios finds himself at the center of a sensational scandal once again.

Details: The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has officially announced the provisional suspension of Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios under the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP). The sanctions come after a positive doping test for banned substances.

The 31-year-old Australian provided a sample on June 22, 2026, during an ATP 250 tournament in Mallorca, Spain. On July 17, 2026, a laboratory accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) confirmed the presence of benzoylecgonine—a metabolite of cocaine—in his sample.

Cocaine is classified as a stimulant and is included on the WADA Prohibited List, making it strictly forbidden for use during competition periods.

It's worth noting that throughout his career, Nick Kyrgios has claimed seven ATP singles titles, with his highest world ranking being No. 13. In 2022, the Australian reached the Wimbledon singles final and captured the Australian Open doubles crown.

Reminder: In elite company. The 2026 Wimbledon champion is decided
