Magesi FC coach Allan Freese is happy with a point earned by his side in his maiden Betway Premiership game for Polokwane side against Stellenbosch
Allan Freese expressed contentment at Magesi FC’s point in their game against Stellenbosch FC in a Betway Premiership match in midweek.
Magesi’s 1-1 draw against the Cape Winelands side was Freese’s maiden game at the helm for the Polokwane-based side.
Dikwena Tsa Meetsi are on the bottom of the Betway Premiership standings and have recently parted ways with John Maduka to replace him with Freese.
Freese is expected to steer them to a much better position in the PSL standings as things are bleak at the moment for Magesi.
“And when I say I’m happy with the point, there were things that we could have done better, but coming here and Stellenbosch being a good team with a good coach. So, ja, I’m very happy about that,” he said.
“It’s two things here, okay, I’m coming in, three, four days to prepare the team.”
“The team is dead last. Okay? I came into this thing with my eyes wide open.
“Okay, so how do I improve it? Hard work. And that’s the only thing that can help here at this present time. Get the players to understand how you want them to play. It’s part of all that.
“So, ja, first game, first point, yes, I’m happy.”
