Madrid will see this through! Real Madrid issues hard-line statement to UEFA over the Negreira case

The Spanish giants have intensified unprecedented legal pressure on European football authorities over their bitter rival.

Details: Spanish side Real Madrid has published an official statement regarding the investigation into the Negreira case, confirming that it filed a complaint with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and submitted evidence of Barcelona's secret payments over many years.

The statement from Los Blancos stressed that UEFA had officially confirmed receipt of a substantial body of evidence concerning payments made by the Catalan club to the former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees over the past two decades. Madrid is convinced that the submitted materials point to extremely serious violations that directly affect the integrity of competitions and trust in the refereeing system.

Real Madrid's leadership called on European football's disciplinary bodies to conduct the necessary investigative measures as quickly as possible and take comprehensive action in light of the scale of the established facts. The club assured that it intends to cooperate actively with UEFA in the interests of transparency and fair play.

It is worth noting that the conflict surrounding the Negreira case flared up again after Madrid submitted an extensive dossier to European football officials, while Barcelona continues to categorically insist that the refereeing consultancy reports were lawful and denies that a new investigation has been opened.
