Madrid colony. Arbeloa wants to strengthen Fulham with another Real Madrid player
Fulham head coach Álvaro Arbeloa is determined to continue reinforcing his squad with players from Real Madrid. According to Marca, the English club is showing interest in 18-year-old midfielder Thiago Pitarch.
The London side has already reached agreements to bring in Gonzalo García and César Palacios from the Madrid giants. Now, the "Cottagers" boss wants to see Thiago Pitarch in his lineup as well. It was under Arbeloa's guidance that the young midfielder made his debut for Real’s senior team. He already has 16 appearances and two assists for the main squad.
According to Transfermarkt, Pitarch's market value is 20 million euros. His contract with Real Madrid runs until next summer. The player is currently recovering from a muscle injury.
Recall that Arbeloa took charge of Fulham this summer after finishing his spell in the Real Madrid system, where he briefly coached the first team. Fulham will kick off their new Premier League campaign on August 24 with a home clash against Chelsea, who are now managed by another former Real Madrid boss, Xabi Alonso.
