The wife and ex-wife of Hossam Hassan were involved in a scuffle featuring punches and hair-pulling.

Details: A serious altercation erupted at a hotel on Egypt’s northern coast between the current wife of the national team head coach and his former spouse. What started as a heated argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation—with reports of blows exchanged and hair pulled—forcing bystanders to intervene.

According to Egyptian media, the situation became so intense that the police were called after all attempts to calm the parties failed. Reportedly, both sides later withdrew any further claims against each other.

Representatives from both camps have already presented conflicting accounts of what happened. In particular, Hassan’s current wife’s lawyer stated that during the fracas, she was beaten and had her hair pulled.

Worth noting: Hossam Hassan remains in charge of the Egyptian national team. On July 8, the Egyptian Football Association officially approved the extension of his contract following the team's performance at the 2026 World Cup.
