Mohamed Salah Makes Trabzonspor Debut in 1-1 Super Lig Draw at Kasimpasa
Mohamed Salah made his first appearance for Trabzonspor on Saturday as a second-half substitute in their 1-1 draw away to Kasimpasa in their opening Turkish Super Lig fixture.
The Egypt captain came off the bench in the 58th minute, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career after completing a high-profile move to the Turkish side.
Salah received a huge welcome from Trabzonspor supporters when he arrived at Trabzon Airport last week to finalise his free transfer. The 34-year-old reportedly signed a two-year contract worth around £29 million.
Trabzonspor had taken the lead in the first half through Noah Saviolo, giving the visitors a strong start.
However, Kasimpasa responded shortly after the break when Adrian Benedyczak converted a penalty in the 55th minute to bring the hosts level.
Salah was introduced three minutes later as Trabzonspor searched for a winning goal, but the Egyptian star could not produce the decisive moment as the match ended 1-1.
