The Democratic Republic of Congo national team will head into their decisive World Cup group stage match against Uzbekistan without their most renowned supporter—Michel Kuki Mboladinga, better known as “Lumumba Vea.”
According to lequipe, the fan was denied a visa, preventing him from attending the match set to take place in Atlanta. Previously, he had faced similar difficulties but still managed to make it to the game against Colombia.
Despite this setback, diplomatic circles remain hopeful that the situation could change if the team delivers a strong performance and advances to the next stage of the tournament.
