Luis Suárez has been awarded the Golden Ball of the Brazilian Serie A

The 36-year-old forward of Grêmio, Luis Suárez, has been honored with the prestigious accolade in the Brazilian Serie A. The esteemed striker was recognized as the season's best player and was awarded the Golden Ball.

In the recently concluded season of the Brazilian Serie A, Suárez finished as the runner-up in the scoring charts, netting 17 goals. Additionally, the seasoned footballer provided more assists than anyone else in the championship, tallying 11.

It's expected that in 2024, the former Barcelona player will leave Grêmio, as his contract expires on December 31, and join his friend Lionel Messi at Inter Miami in the MLS.

The Uruguayan have footballer recently expressed thoughts about his future in football, mentioning physical fatigue, hinting at an impending "important decision regarding his career."

Suárez moved to Grêmio in early 2023 as a free agent after his tenure at the Uruguayan club Nacional. He is renowned for his performances at Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Liverpool, and Ajax. During his time at Barcelona, the forward clinched the La Liga and Copa del Rey titles four times each and lifted trophies as a winner of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
