Star Uruguayan forward Luis Suárez has confirmed negotiations to extend his contract with Inter Miami.
The striker initially signed a one-year deal with the club on December 22, joining Major League Soccer for the 2024 season.
Quote: “My lawyer is negotiating with the club, but I am calm. I plan to finish the season in the best possible way, which is what I wanted, and show the club that I come with desire, feel physically good, and hope to continue being a part of the history of this club.”
Recall: Suárez has scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 26 matches, leading Inter to the MLS playoffs in 2024.
The forward currently sits third in the Golden Boot standings, slightly trailing Christian Benteke, Cucho Hernández, and Denis Bouanga. His attacking efforts have also earned him a nomination for the MLS MVP award for 2024.
