Luis Enrique predicted one of PSG's opponents for the 2025 Club World Cup
Today, the draw for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup took place, with 32 teams from around the world participating for the first time in the tournament's history. One of those teams is PSG, and their head coach Luis Enrique managed to predict one of their opponents.
Details: Before the ceremony, Luis Enrique was asked what he expected from the draw, and here’s what he said.
Quote:
"Tell me, which Brazilian club is the best in the battle for the Club World Cup? Botafogo? Then we will be in the same group. PSG-Botafogo, for sure."
A few minutes later, PSG's opponent turned out to be exactly Botafogo. The French champions will also face Atlético Madrid and Seattle Sounders.
Botafogo is currently leading Brazil's Serie A with one round to go in the season. Additionally, the team won the 2024 Copa Libertadores.
Reminder: During the draw ceremony, the legendary Arsène Wenger was forced to perform a quirky dance.
