Luis Enrique explains Ibrahim Mbaye’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain
The Spanish manager believes the Senegalese player needs to do more to cope with the competition.
Ibrahim Mbaye is no longer getting any playing time at Paris Saint-Germain. Since the end of the international break in March 2026, the Senegalese striker has not played a single minute. His situation became more critical last weekend after he was left out of the squad to face Lyon in the league. When asked about the matter, Luis Enrique stated that he is not entirely satisfied with Ibrahim Mbaye’s performance. He says he expects more from the Senegalese player.
Every minute you get to play for PSG has to be special. I have no regrets about Mbaye, but you have to be ready. He was ready, but I expect much more from all the players. It’s simply competition. You have to make the most of every minute.
