Jesse Bisiwu can breathe a sigh of relief after a worrying injury scare with Barça Atlètic.

Details: Barcelona have issued an official medical update on the 18-year-old Belgian winger, who took a heavy blow to his left leg during Wednesday's Copa Catalunya final against Sabadell. The incident initially caused serious concern, as Bisiwu was unable to continue and had to leave the pitch on a stretcher.

Fortunately, the medical examinations carried out on Thursday ruled out a more serious problem. According to Barcelona's official statement, the tests confirmed that Bisiwu has suffered only a contusion.

The Catalan club did not announce an exact recovery date, but stressed that the winger is expected to return to training within a short period. The diagnosis therefore comes as a major relief after the alarming scenes immediately following the challenge.

Bisiwu joined Barcelona in the summer of 2026 after developing at Club Brugge and Club NXT. The winger has already trained with Hansi Flick's first team and is also featuring for Barça Atlètic. It is worth noting that the Belgian was named in the Best XI of the 2025 European Under-17 Championship after helping his national team reach the semifinals.
