Lucas Ribeiro's move to Libyan giants hits a snag as the Fifa tribunal is yet to clear him
Lucas Ribeiro's move to Libyan giants Al-Ittihad has hit a snag.
Ribeiro's move to Spanish side Cultural Leonesa was not one without controversy as the player was not cleared by Mamelodi Sundowns and the matter has been pending at Fifa.
The player terminated his contract with the Caf Champions League champions when he left them at the start of last season and Sundowns reported the matter to Fifa.
Now Fifa are yet to release its findings on the player who is reported to have signed a two year deal, in principle, with former coach, Rulani Mokwena, who is in charge of the Libyan giants.
Ribeiro is a free agent after his Spanish Segunda side, Cultral Leonesa was relegated to the third division.
Now, his move to North African giants is dependent on being cleared by the Fifa tribunal on the matter between him and Sundowns.
