Loyalty! Eric García agrees to sign new contract with Barcelona as early as next week

Details: During yesterday's press conference held as part of the presidential campaign ahead of the upcoming Barcelona presidential elections, Joan Laporta announced that the team's 24-year-old Spanish center-back, Eric García, will sign a new deal with the Blaugrana as soon as next week.

Eric García joined Barcelona in 2021 from Manchester City on a free transfer. In the 2023/24 season, he played for Girona on loan before returning to Catalonia.

This season, García has made 20 appearances for Barça, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His current contract runs until the summer of 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 25 million euros.
