Lower and lower. Rooney's new potential club revealed

So far, Wayne Rooney's managerial career has struggled to take off. His most recent stint was with Plymouth, but he didn't even last until the end of the season there. Now, the Manchester United legend might have an opportunity to kickstart his career again.
Details: According to the Daily Mail, Rooney is being considered by the bosses of semi-professional side Macclesfield, who will compete in the sixth tier of English football. However, the move will only happen if Robbie Savage leaves the club.

Forest Green Rovers are also reportedly interested in Rooney's services. However, a move to Macclesfield would allow the 39-year-old to stay at his home in Cheshire, close to his wife Coleen.
Previously, during his time at Plymouth, Rooney had to adjust to being away from his family, as they lived in Cheshire—about 260 miles from Plymouth—while he rented an apartment on the coast.
Reminder: In addition to Plymouth, Rooney has also managed Derby County, Birmingham City, and MLS side D.C. United.
