London giants snatch a Serie A gem! The 18-year-old phenomenon is heading to England
Chelsea are close to pulling off one of the most promising transfers of the summer.
Details: As exclusively confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are now advancing in club-to-club talks for Honest Ahanor from Atalanta. Personal terms have been agreed with the player, and the clubs enjoy a good relationship after the Palestra deal. The Blues are deciding on the potential future pathway for the 18-year-old.

Ahanor, an Italy international defender, moved from Genoa to Atalanta only last summer for €16 million and immediately made 35 appearances in all competitions, becoming one of Serie A's brightest young talents. The Bergamo club have already rejected two offers for their gem this summer, while Arsenal and Manchester City are also monitoring the situation, so the Londoners are trying to get ahead of the competition.
Ahanor's arrival would fit Chelsea's strategy of collecting the best young players in Europe. It's worth noting that the defender, born in 2008, is under contract with Atalanta until 2028, and the Italians are in no hurry to sell one of their main assets for cheap.
Reminder: Barcelona turned down as Chelsea star considers only two options.
