London battle for a star! Arsenal snatches top player from Chelsea

Details: According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have gained a slight edge over Chelsea in the race to sign free agent John Stones. The defender prefers a move to London, and his long-standing working relationship with Mikel Arteta could tip the scales in the Gunners’ favor.
Arteta knows Stones well from their time together at Manchester City. It’s believed that this personal connection with Arsenal’s head coach gives the Gunners a slight edge in negotiations.
Meanwhile, Chelsea remain seriously interested in the experienced center-back and continue to monitor the situation. Juventus and Stones’ former club Everton are also in the running. The Italian giants are trying to persuade the Englishman to continue his career in Serie A, but no final decision has been made yet.
It’s worth noting that Stones left Manchester City after ten years at the club. The defender made 293 appearances for the Citizens, winning 19 trophies, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
