Liverpool remains optimistic about Salah and Van Dijk contracts. Trent's situation is more complicated

Renowned British journalist David Ornstein shed light on the situation regarding the expiring contracts of Liverpool trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Details. According to Ornstein, the club remains optimistic about the possibility of securing new deals with Salah and Van Dijk.

However, the situation with Alexander-Arnold is less certain: he is being pursued by Real Madrid, and there is no exclusion of his departure from Merseyside.

Quote. “There is a consensus at Liverpool that Salah and Van Dijk are likely to extend their contracts. However, Alexander-Arnold might leave. But nothing has been decided definitively yet,” said Ornstein.

Reminder. Previously, Salah spoke about his future at Liverpool, hinting at a possible departure from the club.
