Liverpool released commemorative merch dedicated to Klopp, but fans were outraged by the price
The remarkable nine-year tenure of Jürgen Klopp has come to an end, and the club has already introduced a new coach in the form of Arne Slot. However, to immortalize the German specialist, the club decided to release special merchandise. On Friday evening, the official store put 500 special sets up for sale.
Each set includes twelve cards featuring the most memorable moments of Klopp at Liverpool, a card with the German's signature, and the legendary cap he often wore during his time at Liverpool. The cap bears Klopp's famous words, "I am not a dreamer. I am a football romantic," along with a unique serial number out of 500 copies.
The cost of such a set was £150. While many fans weren't deterred by the price, considering there is no more Klopp merchandise available, some supporters were outraged by the high cost.
One fan wrote:
"The price is outrageous."
Another sarcastically added:
"For just £150, you too can get a plain baseball cap with a simple design."
Yet another noted:
"I fully understand that this is a 'special edition' cap, and we all love Jürgen, but £150?"
It's worth mentioning that these caps are already available on the eBay marketplace, where savvy sellers are flipping them for £500.
