Liverpool ready to activate €30m clause for Valencia’s 19-year-old winger
Liverpool have stepped up negotiations and expressed their willingness to activate the €30 million release clause for Valencia’s 19-year-old winger David Otorbi.
Details: The serious interest from the Merseyside club has prompted the Spanish side to act immediately in order to retain control over the future of their academy product. According to Tribuna Deportiva, Valencia’s management has informed the player’s representatives that it will activate the option to extend his current contract for a further three years. The new deal will run until the summer of 2031, while the winger’s fixed release clause will double to €60 million, significantly complicating a potential move to the English giants.

Otorbi, the youngest debutant in Valencia’s history, is regarded by the coaching staff as one of La Liga’s most promising young talents. Although the paperwork for the extension is scheduled to be signed shortly, Liverpool continue to monitor the situation around the footballer closely and have not ruled out revisiting his candidacy in the future.
In the 2026/27 season, Otorbi has made nine appearances for Valencia in all competitions, scoring one goal.
