Former Arsenal and Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant faced a serious ordeal after being brutally attacked by a dog while out walking in north London.

Details: The 43-year-old former footballer was walking his pets when an aggressive German Shepherd lunged at his American Akita, King.

Trying to protect his dog, Pennant stepped into the clash, prompting the aggressive animal to turn its attention to him. The sportsman was knocked to the ground, and the attacking dog sank its teeth into his leg. According to Pennant himself, his own dog showed incredible loyalty and rushed to his aid, effectively saving him from suffering serious injuries.
