Liverpool Legend Praises Salah but Highlights Contract Concerns

Teddy Sheringham, the former England football star, weighed in on Mohamed Salah’s uncertain future at Liverpool, speaking to Liverpool Echo on Tuesday.

“Salah continues to prove he’s a key figure for Liverpool this season, becoming the first player to record 10 goals and 10 assists across all competitions,” Sheringham said.

He added, “Salah has been Liverpool’s standout performer so far, but there’s still no resolution to his contract situation, which could see him leave for free next summer.”

Sheringham acknowledged Salah’s incredible Premier League impact, saying, “He remains a top-tier player, consistently scoring and creating goals. But with his future undecided, it’s hard to imagine he’s fully focused.”

The football legend also praised Salah’s professionalism: “Credit to Salah for setting aside distractions and delivering on the pitch.”

This season, Salah has played 17 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists. Since joining Liverpool in 2017, he has made 366 appearances, scoring 221 goals and contributing 99 assists.
