At the beginning of the month, Liverpool officially introduced Arne Slot as their new head coach. Previously, we reported on the strategy the Dutch specialist will follow in his team's gameplay and on the transfer market. Now, the names of the players the new manager of the Merseyside club wants to acquire before the start of the season have been revealed. These players are from Real Madrid: Rodrygo and Arda Güler, according to Estadio Deportivo.

It is not yet clear whether the club is willing to part with either of them, especially considering their performances on the international stage. Güler scored a goal in his team's first match against Georgia and is likely to be in the starting lineup for today's match against Portugal. Rodrygo is expected to help the Brazilian national team at Copa America. Brazil's first match in the continental championship will take place on the night of June 25 against Costa Rica.

Güler scored six goals for Los Blancos last season, but only played in ten matches. He is considered a long-term project for the Spanish champions, making his sale less appealing to the club.

Rodrygo has been with Real Madrid since 2019, having transferred from Santos for €45 million. His contract runs until 2028, but there have been reports that the Brazilian might insist on leaving due to the arrivals of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe, which could push him down the pecking order in the attack. This information was reported by UOL.
