Liverpool is interested in signing Newcastle winger

Liverpool is showing interest in Newcastle winger Yankuba Minteh, reports 90min.com.

The player has caught the attention of Liverpool's new head coach Arne Slot, following their collaboration at Feyenoord.

Newcastle would prefer not to sell the player for less than €40 million, but due to FFP issues, they might be compelled to do so.

Liverpool may face competition from several German and Italian clubs for the 19-year-old Minteh. Last season, the Gambian footballer played on loan at Feyenoord under Slot's management. In the Eredivisie, Minteh featured in 37 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists.

Minteh was signed by Newcastle from the Danish team Odense last summer for £6.5 million.

Recently, Liverpool officially bid farewell to two of the team’s veterans.
