Liverpool head coach is delighted with his 31-year-old midfielder
Liverpool's manager, Jürgen Klopp, shared his opinion on the experienced central midfielder, Wataru Endo. The German coach expressed confidence that the Japanese player will soon sign a new long-term contract with the club.
"I'm pretty sure that Wataru Endo will sign another long term contract at Liverpool. He might be 31 on the passport but... he's a machine!", – quoted Klopp by Sky Sports.
Endo surprisingly joined Liverpool last summer from Stuttgart for €20 million. In the current season, he has participated in 29 matches for the Reds, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.
Endo's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027.
It is worth noting that Liverpool narrowly defeated Chelsea (1:0) yesterday in the final of the English League Cup. Virgil van Dijk scored the decisive goal in the last minutes of overtime.
