Even though the transfer window is still around the corner, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is already in meetings looking for reinforcements for the Catalan club.

One of them, according to Diario Sport, he had with the agent of Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, Carlos Van Strahlen, to probe the ground for a potential move for the Colombian to Barcelona.

The response from the Merseyside player's representative Laporta was startling to say the least. According to Van Strachlen, Liverpool could ask between €120 and €140 million for their winger. Given the starring role he plays at Liverpool and the fact that his contract runs until 2027, this figure is not surprising.

Laporta's response, given Barcelona's current finances, was succinct: "It's unfeasible."

It was previously reported that the Blaugrana would purge the squad in the summer, expecting to realise a €200 million profit from it.
