Liverpool continues its search for a new head coach who will replace Jurgen Klopp in the summer.
According to Record, one of Liverpool's priority options is Sporting Lisbon's head coach, Ruben Amorim.
It is expected that immediately after the season ends, Liverpool plans to hold talks with Amorim. It is reported that Amorim himself is interested in taking the next step in his career.
However, Amorim's transfer will cost Liverpool €20 million. This is the clause stipulated in his contract with Sporting.
Liverpool's priority was Bayer Leverkusen's head coach, Xabi Alonso, but the Spaniard decided to stay at his current club for the next season.
As a reminder, Jurgen Klopp officially announced at the end of January that he would leave Liverpool after the season.
Before joining Sporting, Amorim coached Braga. He took over the "Lions" in March 2020. Under Amorim's leadership, Sporting won the Portuguese championship in the 2020/21 season.
