Last night, Liverpool forward Diogo Jota tragically lost his life in a car accident. Reds fans have come together to honor their fallen idol.

Details: A spontaneous memorial has formed outside Liverpool’s home ground, with supporters bringing flowers, wreaths, and other mementos. Notes expressing condolences can also be seen among the tributes.

The Liverpool flag has also been lowered to half-mast at the stadium.

Reminder: According to a statement from Spanish police, the accident occurred at approximately 00:30 local time. While overtaking, the Lamborghini carrying the brothers suffered a tire blowout, causing the car to veer off the road and burst into flames.

The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire. The footballers also perished in the blaze and could only be identified by the surviving license plate. The crash occurred at the 65th kilometer of the A-52 motorway, near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria. Diogo Jota’s brother, Andre Silva, also died in the accident.
