Liverpool fans positioned in the Kop stand at Anfield will conduct a protest action during the Europa League match against Atalanta.

The supporters' group "Spion Kop 1906" announced that they will refrain from using traditional flags and banners in their section. This decision comes in response to Liverpool's announcement of a two percent increase in season ticket prices for the 2024/25 season.

The club's decision to raise season ticket prices, along with the absence of consultations with fans on this matter, has sparked discontent among supporters. They believe that such a policy by the club will result in fewer loyal fans being able to attend the team's home matches regularly.

It is worth noting that Liverpool explained the decision to increase season ticket prices by citing a 40% rise in the costs of maintaining the home stadium over the past 6 years.

The Liverpool vs. Atalanta match will take place on Thursday, April 11th. Kick-off at Anfield is scheduled for 9:00 PM Central European Time.
