Liverpool supporter Jonathan Edge has been penalized for illegally streaming Premier League matches.

Details: The Premier League website announced that the fan received a prison sentence of three years and four months. Edge was uploading illegal streams to Firesticks, Amazon’s device for watching TV channels. He found interested clients through Facebook posts and personal recommendations.

Customers could access pirated content belonging to Sky Sports and BT Sport, including EPL matches, as well as around 10,000 movies. For fraud and unauthorized access and viewing of copyrighted content, Edge received a total of three years and four months in prison.

Previously, Edge had a criminal record for fraud. In 2019, he was convicted for cocaine dealing but was released early.

Reminder: An unnamed Premier League player was recently questioned by London police in an investigation concerning multiple rape allegations. The player’s identity remains unknown, though he is reportedly around 30 years old.
