Liverpool defender will not be moving to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich is still considering strengthening their defense for the upcoming season, with Liverpool center-back Joe Gomez being one of the rumored options.

However, Florian Plettenberg reports that this is not true and there have been no such discussions. Bayern may attempt to sign Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen or possibly not pursue any defender at all. Recently, it was reported that Bayer Leverkusen set a deadline of August 11 for Bayern, but no offer was made.

Additionally, Leon Goretzka is unlikely to feature in the friendly match against Grasshoppers and may not be included in the squad for the first Bundesliga match of the new season against Wolfsburg.

Barcelona will need to compete for Coman, as Paris Saint-Germain is also interested. The French champions have already spoken with Bayern Munich and Coman's representatives. PSG is currently ahead of Barcelona in this pursuit, although the transfer is not yet imminent.
