Liverpool is interested in a player from the Brazilian club where Kaka and Cafu played

Liverpool has shown interest in Brazilian center-back Lucas Beraldo from São Paulo. According to UOL reports, the English club will attempt to sign the player during the winter transfer window.
Beraldo previously played for the youth teams of Uniao Barbarense and XV de Novembro. He joined São Paulo's football academy in 2019. His debut for São Paulo's senior squad, known as the "Tricolor," took place on May 25, 2022, in a match against the Peruvian club Ayacucho in the Copa Sudamericana. On July 20, 2022, he played his first game in the Brazilian Serie A against Internacional.
Beraldo's contract extends until 2026, and in the current season, he has appeared in 21 matches for the team, scoring one goal. Last year, he made his debut for Brazil's under-20 national team. According to Transfermarkt, the player's contract is valued at €6 million.
It's worth noting that São Paulo has been home to many great players. Icons like Kaká and Cafu began their careers at this club. Hence, there's a possibility that Lucas Beraldo could emerge as the next global star from São Paulo.
