Liverpool and Chelsea have rejected the 28-year-old midfielder because of his age

Fulham's defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha has attracted the attention of top clubs, but we definitely won't be seeing the Portuguese at some of them.

As reported by journalist Alex Crook on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Liverpool and Chelsea considered signing the 28-year-old centre-back, but they soon dropped the idea of bringing in Palhinha due to his age:

"The problem he has had in this country is that his people have put him through to a lot of the big clubs at the top of the Premier League table, but of course in the case of Chelsea and maybe even Liverpool they have decided that he is too old, he can't be resold afterwards, so it will be interesting to see if Fulham have to reduce their price because of that."

Earlier, it was reported that Manchester City are ready to splurge on the player and can offer Fulham 50 million euros for Palhinha .
