Lionel Messi had planned to attend the celebration of Barcelona’s 125th anniversary, scheduled for November 29. However, recent reports indicate that the Argentine football legend will be unable to participate in the event.

Details. According to Mundo Deportivo, Messi received an invitation to the anniversary festivities about a week and a half ago. With the MLS season concluded and a break from his commitments with Inter Miami, he had ample free time. Nevertheless, the iconic player had already scheduled other significant engagements for that date.

While Messi won’t be able to attend in person, he intends to congratulate the club in a different way. It is expected that the Argentine star will record a special video message for the occasion.

Reminder. Recently, Lionel Messi set a new record by providing his 58th assist for the Argentina national team, making him the player with the most assists at the international level.
