Lionel Messi named Inter Miami Player of the season

Argentine forward Lionel Messi received a large portion of recognition in his new club, the American Inter Miami.

According to the press service of the American club, the captain of the Argentina national team was recognized as the best player of Inter Miami in the 2023 season.

It is interesting that the Argentine played only a little more than a third of the team’s matches this season, but this was enough for him to write his name in history.

Let us remind you that Messi joined the team from MLS in the summer of 2023. The American club acquired him as a free agent and signed a contract until 2025.

Last season, he played 14 matches for Inter Miami, in which he scored 11 goals and gave five assists. Together with Messi, Inter Miami won the League Cup and this was the team's only trophy of the season.

Interestingly, on October 30, Lionel Messi won the Ballon d'Or based on voting results. For the Argentinean, this is already the eighth award in his career, which is an absolute record.
