Lionel Messi Comments on Barcelona’s Performance Under Hansi Flick for the First Time
Legendary footballer Lionel Messi has expressed admiration for Barcelona’s current form under head coach Hansi Flick. Messi highlighted his appreciation for the club’s renewed faith in young players.
Quote. "This Barcelona is impressive, although it’s not surprising. It’s nothing new; it’s always been like this, at least since I joined the club at 13 years old.
What’s truly impressive is that young players have been given a chance over the past two years. When they are trusted, they prove themselves because they understand the club better than anyone. They’ve been playing this way since childhood. When given the opportunity, this is what happens, just as it did in our era," Messi remarked.
Context. Barcelona currently leads La Liga, holding a six-point advantage over their closest rival, Real Madrid, albeit having played one game more. The team is also performing well in the Champions League, sitting sixth overall after four matches.
