Lille's Star Jonathan David Will Not Leave the Club This Winter

This fall, Lille's forward Jonathan David has made a name for himself with impressive performances. While several clubs have expressed interest in the Canadian striker, reports confirm that he will not be leaving the team.

Details: As stated by Lille president Olivier Létang to RMC, Jonathan has no intention of leaving the club this winter. His current contract runs until the summer of 2025. Lille has made a new offer to David, and now, according to Létang, the decision lies entirely with the striker.

This season, David has played 19 matches for Lille, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists. He has netted against top teams such as Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Juventus.

Reminder: Reports have previously suggested that Barcelona is interested in signing David. The player himself has previously shared his career aspirations.

The Canadian forward revealed that he has been a Barcelona fan since childhood and dreams of playing for the club.
