“Liked the reaction.” Joan Laporta meets with Hansi Flick

Barcelona suffered a 0–3 defeat to Chelsea in their UEFA Champions League match, and after the game president Joan Laporta held a meeting with the head coach.

Details: The Barcelona president revealed that he spoke with Hansi Flick following the team’s return from London, adding that he was pleased with the manager’s attitude — as well as the mood within the squad.

Quote: “I spoke with Flick on the way back from London… I liked his reaction and the team’s reaction. I think this result will become a turning point. A bad result in our history has often pushed us toward a successful season. I’m confident it will be the same now,” Laporta said.

Laporta also reiterated that Real Madrid were awarded two goals against Elche that should not have stood. He insists that without those goals, Barcelona would currently be leading the league, as Real would have suffered defeat.
